DEMO DAYS is the leading outdoor trade fair for the construction industry, organised by Matexpo BV.
No static stands, but more than one hundred machines actually at work on the Saint-Antoine spoil heap in Boussu. A biennial event aimed at three clearly distinct target groups: visitors, exhibitors and the press.

The challenge
A trade fair of this scale relies on data managed elsewhere. Exhibitors, stands and brands are handled in specialised event software, while visitor registration runs through a separate platform. The website needed to display this information without requiring anyone to enter it a second time.
Specifically, Matexpo required:
- One website serving three target groups — visitors, exhibitors and the press
- A searchable exhibitor list covering hundreds of brands and products
- Data exchange with the existing trade fair and registration software
- Three languages, suitable for an audience from Belgium, France and the Netherlands
- A structure that can be reused for every edition
The solution
IDcreation built the website as a showcase on top of the existing trade fair software, rather than as a separate administrative system. Whoever manages the stand planning also controls what visitors see online.
In addition, each target group was given its own entry point. From the homepage, visitors select who they are, and the website guides them to the right information: practical information for visitors, commercial information for exhibitors, and documentation for the press.
One source for exhibitor data
Participant data is exchanged with Expodoc, the trade fair software in which Matexpo manages stands, contracts and exhibitor participation. Any changes made there do not need to be entered again on the website — eliminating duplicate work and conflicting lists.
Register without detours
Visit Cloud's visitor registration is integrated directly into the website. Visitors enter their details within the DEMO DAYS look and feel without being redirected to an unfamiliar page — while badges and access control continue to run through the registration platform.
Search through a vast offering
With more than one hundred exhibitors, hundreds of brands and a product range spanning from excavators to site lighting, simply browsing is not practical. The exhibitor list can be filtered simultaneously by sector, brand and product, while continuously showing how many results remain.
Prepare your visit
Visitors can mark favourites and export their own selection as an Excel or PDF file. Those arriving with a specific purchase in mind can enter the event with a tailored list in hand instead of a trade fair map full of names.
The technical foundation
What keeps the website running during the busiest weeks of the year:
Multiple filtering
Sectors, brands and products can be selected independently and work together. The live results counter updates instantly, so visitors can see what each selection filters out.
Export to Excel and PDF
The complete exhibitor information or just the visitor's own favourites can be converted into a downloadable file on demand — ready to use on site, even without an internet connection.
Data exchange with Expodoc
Exhibitors, brands and product categories are exchanged with the trade fair software in which Matexpo manages exhibitor participation. One source, with no manual data entry required.
Ingebouwde Visit Cloud-registratie
Integrated Visit Cloud registration
The badge platform's registration form runs directly within the website, in the appropriate language and visual identity. Visitors do not have to leave the site to request their free ticket.
Video banner and photo gallery
Footage of machines in action from the very first second, complemented by a look back at the previous edition. For a trade fair built around a live experience, static images alone simply do not do it justice.
Analytics and cookie management
Google Tag Manager powers analytics and campaigns, with a consent banner that allows functional, statistical and marketing cookies to be managed separately.
More than one hundred exhibitors and hundreds of brands. Everything is managed through one user-friendly central CMS.
The result
DEMO DAYS now has a platform that makes the trade fair just as clear and easy to navigate online as it is on site. The website:
- Guides each target group directly to the right information
- Makes hundreds of brands searchable in just a few clicks
- Allows visitors to plan their visit in advance and take their selection with them
- Keeps registration and exhibitor management within the existing systems
- Serves visitors in three languages, across language borders
- Provides a reusable foundation for every future edition
A digital backbone for a trade fair that is rebuilt from the ground up every two years — where the site may change each time, but the organisation does not have to start from scratch.
